The Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside held their annual Health and Wellbeing Day on Friday 15th March at Thingwall Hall.
The event provided staff and the people we support the opportunity to talk to the HR Team and Medicash about staff benefits as well as discuss health related questions with Macmillan Cancer Care.
Phil Hope joined us from Medicash to inform staff about what benefits that they are entitled to through the Medicash programme. Who knew we could save so much! By logging onto Medicash extras here, staff are eligible to save money on aspects such as dental and optical care, cinema tickets, even their favourite high street shops and plenty more. If you were unable to attend the event and would like to find out more or have any Medicash related questions, please contact Phil Hope on 07801 031515 or click here to email him.
Debbie from Macmillan Cancer Support brought along with her a fantastic range of information in the form of leaflets and booklets on the range of support available from the charity, as well as how to support a loved one with cancer. For attendees who were looking for a pamper and some relaxation, Liz Keeble from Be Holistic gave free reflexology hand treatments. Liz is a fully insured Holistic Therapist based in Crosby and offers therapy to treat a great deal of disorders such as stress, anxiety, muscular aches and pains and digestive complaints. If you would like to find out more about Be Holistic, visit their website here.
As well as the Health and Wellbeing stalls, a Walking Football Match had been organised as part of day but unfortunately had to postponed until further notice due bad weather that had been forecast. Thank you to Angel Revive for kindly donating cans of alkaline water for the football event; the drinks will be enjoyed by the teams at the re-arranged match.
A big thank you to the Merseyside HR Team for organising the Health and Wellbeing Day and for making it a success. Thank you to Debbie, Liz and Phil for joining us with a range of information for the event and to everyone who attended!
