Sponsored Walk for Marie Curie

The Men’s Group from the Brothers of Charity Services in Merseyside took part in a sponsored walk in aid of raising awareness of Prostate Cancer and Testicular Cancer on Thursday 21st May.

The group walked from the Britannia Pub in Dingle, on the edge of Liverpool City Centre, to Otterspool along the Otterspool Promenade and back again. The walk was about 3miles and it took 1hour 30minutes to complete, everyone enjoyed the riverside walk which had perfect views across the River Mersey from the Otterspool Promenade. The walk built up an appetite for the group who finished the event by having dinner at the Britannia Pub.

So far the group has raised over £200, which will be donated by the Men’s Group to Marie Curie for testicular and prostate cancer. Money is still being collected, if you would like to donate, please contact Lee McClure, who is based at Thingwall Hall.
