Thingwall Services, October 2018
Our Merseyside Services hold a Macmillan Coffee Morning every year to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support in September. The event is a great opportunity for the people we support from across the services to meet and make new friends over a cup coffee and a slice of cake.
Ann Prayle, a support worker from our Thingwall Services, went above and beyond her role and baked a variety of delicious cakes for the event during her own time, which were enjoyed by everyone we support. The large donation of homemade cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and millionaires’ shortbread made the day feel extra special as the effort that went in to making the cakes was evident. There were lots of other cake donations from kind members of staff, which all helped to raise an amazing £203 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
